Up early with Ossur and Ann. After they both went off to WORK, we hung around the house, wrote up our journals, Scott went out to do a bit of painting. About 0800 we left, on one bike, and headed into Horsens to check out a couple of bike and camping shops.
As Scott's gloves and Boots had seen better days (to say the least), the needed replacing. We also picked up some supplies for the girls: oil, funnels, Brake pads and a bit of other boring shopping. On the return journey, post-successful trip, we called into a kiosk at the side of the main road "biker-friends" We grabbed a bite to eat, burgers and coffee for me.
We then returned to Ossur's and did a bit more work on the bikes, at some stage during the maintenance work, we discovered that my headlight was a bit wobbly and needed to be repaired then of course had to adjust the headlight on the fly.
We picked up the newly-shod wheels between 1500-1600 and then fitted them to Claudia. Whoop!!! New shoes for my girl!
The work on the headlight took a bit longer than expected, but got it done and also greased up the stands. We hit the Sack around 2200.
05 July
Up early to see Ann & Ossur off to work. Then we had Breakie together then hit the road direction Copenhagen. We reached Copenhagen by mid-afternoon, headed out to the campsite, set-up camp and then we grabbed a bus back into town. The only thing we really wanted to check out was the Tivoli. Despite the price (about €40 each) we had an absolute blast. Rollercoasters, chair ride, fun house, we were like little kids. Then lunch at Waga Mamas and return to camp. Upon returning we noticed there were heaps more tents and a group of <21s .="" a="" alone="" also="" biker="" but="" d="" english="" have="" matt="" met="" no="" noise="" on="" p="" problems="" think="" thought="" transalp="" travelling="" was="" way.="" we="" who="" with="">Nice bloke and we shared a couple of beers and told war-stories. 06 July
Up early around 0500, as we had a long ride ahead of us today. Packed up, had breakie and were ready to leave <0700 .="" a="" after="" and="" aren="" bars="" bikes="" boom-gate="" carefully="" egress="" engine="" found="" gate="" good="" had="" i="" just="" luckily="" nbsp="" nfortunately="" other="" p="" panniers="" pedestrian="" permitted="" plans.="" removing="" t="" that="" the="" thing="" through.="" too="" walking="" wide.="">Then onto Sweden via my favourite bridge in the world, the Oresundsrbo. On the Swedish side of the bridge we had to produce our passports. What an awesome bridge.
After the bridge, it was North to Jönköping and on to Fagerhult. This is a Swedish lighting company that Scott wanted to check-out. Here, we were given a full presentation, tour of the factory with Bjorn, Marie and Daniel. It was extremely interesting (more so for Scott) they covered development, design, testing and production of their lights, the whole tour took about 4 hours. Then they treated us to lunch in their staff canteen. What a great work environment.
After saying goodbye to Fagerhult, we continued north to Stockholm and the camping at Bredang, We set-up camp and not wanting to cook, we decided to check out the Thai restaurant on-site, caught some football, a few beers then bed.
