The good thing with 4 minute showers is...
Who the hell am I kidding!!! There is no advantage.
I guess it just gives me that little bit more motivation to get ty studying done and get a move on to somewhere with more water, like...the desert (for example)
Anyway, I wanted to do a bit of shopping yesterday and so went to "amazon.com.au" Are you freakin' kidding. No such address...FCUK
So to get my stuff done had to log onto amazon.de and amazon.com.
Damn Australia get a move on. And to top things off, I'm having to rely on dial-up.
I didn't know that existed anymore...well I did really but I just had hoped.
better get myself ready for another night of saving lives and stuff

Longest drought in History, in the Driest Country/Continent on Earth. Yet what can I see, Rain clouds and Sea.
The rain does fall, occasionally. But not enough and not in the right areas, it seems tragic that the water that does fall can't be collected.
hummmm...
I shall never again have a bad word to describe my recollections of the time spent in rainy Manchester.
Na ja, It's ALWAYS Greener. As they say.
Cold today (mid - high 20's), sunny, blue skies. Great for...well, just about anything that you care to think of. And I can think of a load of things.
Better get to bed...have to prepare myself for more perfect weather tomorrow

Damn...
Well now it has all gotten serious. We are no longer pissing about with a little bit of water restriction but have the full blown level 5
140 litres per day... How much do you use???
no Washing cars...4 minute showers, etc. etc.
water theft has gone up... More precious than petrol, currently at $1.20 per litre.
Cheaper than the UK, France, Germany, Scotland and other assorted European countries. We are still making a huge song and dance about it. If you don't like it then drive something bloody cheaper, I know I do. And it's more bloody fun, too.
I guess that we won't be cleaning the streets as in the large Western European cities. In Berlin they drive around with a huge water truck and wash the streets. In Paris I believe they just open the fire hydrants, flood the streets and hope it all washes all the crap down the drain, and believe me there's a lot of crap in Paris. Mick will back me up on that one.
So, the driest place on earth just got drier (I'm talking about Australia)
No half-hour shorers for you Mr Doyle. Unless you get one of those new water-saving-shower-head-thingy's. You know the type. You turn them on and have to move around the shower to get yourself all wet, because it lets out such a tiny stream of water. Guess that's where I have one over the fat people of teh world.
Ahhh, the sweet memory of a bath. I had one in Berlin. Used it on occasion too, except when it wasn't freezing and I didn"t mind only haldf a path of warm water. I still can't understand getting a hot water system that held half the volume of the bath??? explain that to me???
Maybe it was like a prototype for Australia. Making it so inconvienant to have a bath that you just didn't bother....Sweet memories...
by the way, work's good. Saving lives and all that...
Alamanda Private hosp, Southport, ICU. Not too stressful, 25 hrs a week + O.T. Hope to begin the ICU course in a few months. Guess I"ll have to complete the application form and get it back, All in good time.
Oh, is that the time already? Have to get to bed. helping a student nurse with an assignment tomorrow, how do I get myself into these situations.
Now I'm just babbling. Better go

Wow,
Back in Australia for nearly 3 months.
About as long as Mick and Ails have been pregnant.
here are so many thingy's in Australia that really are starting to piss me off
Lack of things that are commonplace in Germany (I know, I'm in Australia now)
ie: selection of cheeses, good beer, Spirits, Motorcycle accessories, open speed-limits, Autobahns, Pubs (worth drinking in), Internet access (I know, People tell me we have it here...but what about decent speed or size), good beer, Winter(ok, not really), Bread, people able to to get a job done (on time without breaking all your SHIT), STRUCTURE.
Ok, ok. I've had my bitch.
The bike's great :-) Took a ride up to springbrook the other day. Grandma said to me "the road's terrible, all windy and hilly" I was up there in a second. Probably get up to Tamborine later today. Oh yeah. Happy Easter all you Heathens
